On my way from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon via Hoover Dam, in the middle of nowhere I drove past this old closed down car yard just full of great classics - straight and rust free in that high desert air.
The Salton Sea
The Salton Sea is an eerie, desolate place not far out of Palm Springs. There a sunburnt town there that is just so atmospheric and cinematic, dirt roads, old trailer homes and beat up cars.
The remains of an old trailer park swallowed up by the salt lake. This is what an Airstream trailer looks like when all the aluminium has been eaten away.
Sorry, but that's most definitely not an Airstream trailer in the salton3 photo. Airstream is a semi-monocoque structure and doesn't have a horizontal beam above the door and windows. There are no joints between roof and sidewall.
