Heroes & Villians

Desert Caryard + Salton Sea

On my way from Las Vegas to the Grand Canyon via Hoover Dam, in the middle of nowhere I drove past this old closed down car yard just full of great classics - straight and rust free in that high desert air.

The Salton Sea

The Salton Sea is an eerie, desolate place not far out of Palm Springs. There a sunburnt town there that is just so atmospheric and cinematic, dirt roads, old trailer homes and beat up cars.

The remains of an old trailer park swallowed up by the salt lake. This is what an Airstream trailer looks like when all the aluminium has been eaten away.

Pickups

Gotta love a pickup truck. To me doesn't matter whether it's a Ford, Chevy or Dodge.

My great 70's F250 extra cab. I bought this in Orange Country California, it's the Lariat model with the works. Makes a great tow vehicle with a 460 Big block.

Makes the Trumpy look pretty small in the back.

Saw this pair for sale at Pomona last year. The green F100 4X4 was pretty clean and cheap whilst the yellow chev was immaculate. Love the amber light covers. I'd like something 50's but my trucks work hard so I like the patina of a beat up truck.

Black plate California F100 up near the Yosemite National Park in Northern California.

Mexican style Chev pickup at Pomona. They love all the accessories and their trucks are always well turned out.

A great looking van concept with vintage surf graphics. Only thing that doesn't work are the wheels and roof racks.

1972 SS Elcamino - another Pomona car. This one had a nice resto with great details, just look at the engine bay. Like a new car and great value for money. I should've bought this one. Love the black on black, nice.

Found this 1980 model C10 (I think) on the way to the Grand Canyon. Nearly bought it for $800 bucks. love the brown but a little rough.

My favourite vintage trucks - '55 - '60 Chevs with the Big Back Window.

Goodwood Racers

The Goodwood Festival of Speed is an amazing event if you get a chance to go - beutiful location and a chance to see some of the rarest machines in the world fired up and ready to go. You can walk through the pits and see everything up close.

This is just a small collection of shots and so I'll post more soon.
